This is a relatively common and minor issue with these models and the lid can easily be reopened by using an allen key or similar tool to unlatch the lock under the lid manually. This unit was very well maintained and passed all major functionality tests. Please note this centrifuge is very heavy (Around 250 lbs) so please prepare in advance.
