Description: Very Nice, Pre Griswold 3rd Series ERIE No. 9 D, Pattern number 713, Cast Iron Skillet With Outer Heat Ring. Made in Erie, Pennsylvania in the Late 1890's to early 1900's. NOTE: Skillet has a very small line on the interior sidewall of the skillet next to the handle. This line is confined to the inside of the skillet and from my best judgement does not cross over the rim and is not visible on the outside of the skillet. I do not believe this to be a crack, but I've included a lot of photos of the area so you can make an informed decision before purchasing. CONDITION: Skillet is in good antique condition. It has a small wobble at the 7 and 2 o'clock positions corrected by 3 index cards. Cooking surface is smooth with general wear from use. Lines on logo are clean and clear, but lightly faded from wear. Skillet does not spin, has no rust, chips or repairs. Please see photos as part of description. ~Disclaimer: All vintage and antique cast iron typically shows some signs of wear including light utensil marks, discoloration, and minor pitting. I always do my best accurately picture and describe each piece so you can buy with confidence. RESTORATION: This vintage piece of cast iron has been carefully cleaned to bare iron and fully restored using a combination of electrolysis, lye, and vinegar. It has been seasoned with 4 layers of grape seed oil at 450 degrees F for a deep, beautiful, patina finish. SHIPPING: Each piece of cast iron is carefully packaged to ensure you get your item in the exact condition you purchased it. SIZE: Rim to rim: 11-3/8 inches Depth: 2 1/4 inches Length (including handle) 16-1/4 inchesWeight: 4 lbs. 8oz.
