Instituted in 1961 in 3 Awarded for outstanding service in educating young people for defense. Material: bronzed metal. Diameter medal 32 mm. Obverse: ERNST SCHNELLER -1890/1944. Reverse: FR DIE - STRKUNG - DER VERTEIDIGUNGSKRAFT - UNSERER - SOZIALISTISCHEN - HEIMAT - GST (FOR THE / STRENGTHEN/DEFENSE FORCE/OUR/ SOCIALIST/HOME - GST (Society for Sport and Technology) The medal was worn until 1972 on a trapezoidal red enameled clasp, the base of which was grained. It showed the GST symbol in the middle. With enameled ribbon bar and plastic case. Used. Perfect condition. Own collection. Well preserved
