Description: Beautiful and interesting painted wood icon from Ethiopia. Purchased at the Dry Bridge Market in Tbilisi, Georgia from a gentleman with a large collection of St. George icons. This icon features a painting of St. George slaying the dragon on the left panel; the center/main panel features Jesus and Mary with angels behind them. Wood is carved on both sides. Sturdy base--won't fall over easily. Measures 11 3/8" tall and 5" at the base. Has been displayed carefully. Coming from a non-smoking environment.
