For modulation, you can select between a classic '60s Shin-ei Uni-Vibe or a deeper vibrato with a chewy, phaser-like sound. For overdrive, you can choose either a dynamic, crunchy distortion or a smooth, saturated drive with a natural boost. Convenience is at the core of the Riptide's design, hence its dual footswitch setup. With a dedicated switch for each effect, you can go from an aggressive distortion to a syrupy chorus, or combine the two for maximum indie-rock goodness. Additionally, you can create your own custom effects and save them to any of the Riptide's five preset slots. If you run out of space, you can always boot up the Eventide Device Manager to unlock more preset slots.
