These cars travel the country. Often originating from the Coors Brewery in Golden, CO., they are affectionately known as "Beer Cars" for the refreshing cargo they frequently carry.By request from our customers! We are excited to announce 6 all new paint schemes on our HO Scale Beer Car. All schemes being offered are what we consider to be "close enough". The differences being anywhere from different ends, side sill or door size. About the Conrail 1977 'As-Delivered' Paint Scheme:In 1977, Conrail purchased 190 insulated boxcars built by Fruit Growers. These cars were numbered from 376001 to 366190 and were classed as B65A. According to the Conrail Color Guide to Freight Equipment, these were part of a pool to transport beer from the Coors brewery in Golden Colorado to distributors across the country. Our PC&F Beer Car model is a near match the Fruit Growers built car and would be a great fit for your layout.
