Description: Excellent Vintage Antique Farm Primitive Tapered Sugar Firkin with Wood Bail and Lid, 4 Finger Overlap. A beautiful antique tapered wood firkin featuring a red stained finish with original patina, very clean inside, wood bail and 4 tapered overlap bands. 10.25" diameter at bottom, 9.125" diameter at top, not measuring the bail or lid. Unmarked on base. Estimated circa 1910. Appears to have been used for dry goods (probably sugar), as inside is very clean with no stains or odors. Showing only very mild signs of age/wear.
