This is a good example of I think quite a rare find that is a Large / Larger 6” x 4¾” black & white negative that shows a view of Eton college in Berkshire. I am assuming that it has somehow come directly from Firth’s and is in the company’s internal printed negative packet and would have been in their filing system. The actual image on the negative is the regular 5½” x 3½” size and there is a clear border at the top, bottom, and right edge. The image matches the description on the packet. It shows Luptons Tower & College Chapel, Eton College and has the number ETN F. The ‘greaseproof’ packet measures almost 7” x 5” and the negative fits very comfortably inside. It is obviously a Real Photograph that will convert to a good quality black & white photo. The negative and the packet are in very good clean and flat condition.
