Description: This is a Fairbanks Co. dry goods weight scale and I don't know year of production. I looked but found no dates cast into it. I think this has not been painted at least in the last 50yrs.. as the photos show it has not been touched. I found a little red paint on the inside of the stem. Could be original. I left in as-is because of collectors do not want these re-built .It sat as a magazine holder in our den for a long time.My mother was a colonial enthusiast as we lived in a house that was built in 1763. I have many colonial era itemsthat she collected. FYI- this is a heavy scale and shipping is based on its destination, not included in price, buyer pays.
