We have found a small wattage regular bulb can be used also simply by opening that clip more. The fabric is durable but just to make a mention be gentle installing it or cleaning it, the fabric can get dented in if abused. It is a quick fix to pop it back out but sometimes it is obvious it was damaged. We ship a great condition brand new lampshade packaged securely in a box.
