Description: At Truetone Music, we love Fender Custom Shop Basses. We also know that bass players recognize that this is where some of the world's greatest basses are made. That's why we were excited to get this Limited Edition 1959 Precision Bass in. This one comes in a unique color that the Custom Shop started doing recently, called Natural Blonde. The wood grain shows nicely, and they did a wonderful job with the Journeyman Relic finish. You'll see finish checking, some of the glossiness muted, and hardware without the shine. There are dings, but nothing major - this has the look of a bass built in 1959, but cared for over the decades, and not abused. The light relic work is very well done, in a tasteful manner, and helps to make each instrument unique to itself. To further the uniqueness, we had the finish removed from the back of the neck. This gives you a truly broken in feel, making this bass an absolute pleasure to play. A Custom Shop Handwound '57 P Bass pickup provides classic P Bass tone, known as "the sound heard around the world". It's versatile, and can be used in a variety of settings, from old school R&B to punk and everything in between. The rock solid quartersawn maple neck is topped off with a nice dark rosewood board and clay dots. It has a vintage 7.25" radius and Medium Jumbo frets, which feel great on the 60's P Bass Oval "C" neck shape. The bass comes with the bridge and pickup covers installed, which of course can be removed. It includes a vintage style Deluxe Tweed hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity. This is an amazing looking, sounding and feeling Custom Shop '59 Precision. Come to Truetone Music to check it out, or order it right here right now to get it sent straight to your home.
