It is filled with beautiful, boldly-colored illustrationsthat are reproductions of original prints by the author. The book contains no extraneous marks. It is in very good, readable enjoyable condition,though it does have age-related wear, as follows: The dust jacket has significant tears and chips, and has browned with age. The boards have age-related discoloration/soiling. “Tanned shadows” appear on almost all of the pages—these “shadows” come from the bright ink used in the illustrations.As shown in photos, these shadows do not render the text at all unreadable. Some of the pages have pulled away from the string that binds the book,although all pages remain in place and intact. At pages 16-17 and 32-33,the binding has pulled apart at the bottom third of the pages. Some of the pages have a bit of foxing.
