Description: ANTIQUE TRINKET BOX A delightful antique coromandel (or calamander) veneered trinket box of exceptional quality. The choice of veneers are unusually beautiful with contrasting linear bands all round. Internally the quality feel is continued with a lovely deep red interior to both the main compartment with removable tray and the lower drawer. The box has two recessed brass carry handles on the sides and a brass monogrammed cartouche panel to the lid. it comes with a functional key for the drawer. Date: mid 19th Century. Condition: Very good functional condition. It has been sensitively refinished both externally and internally. The main compartment and drawer have been relined in new velvet. Externally the box has been refinished to a good standard. The Bramah key is absent but the key to the drawer is supplied with the box.
