Description: This fine large (11.1”long) antique bronze eagle letter opener is a stunning piece of art nouveau style. The piece is unsigned but is in the manner Albert Marionnet (1852-1910) a well known French sculptor. The opener is made of heavy cast bronze with a nice used golden finish. The intricate design of the intense eagle with its spreading wings, as it scowls. This impressive bronze desk sculptured letter opener is perfect for an antique desk. Condition: fine with an older patina on the face of the opener, white the back shows signs of polish. There are two small spots of greenish oxidation in crevices on the eagle’s plumage. 11.1” Long .4” High (highest point) 1.7” Wide (widest point)
