Description: A large and fabulous antique Chinese Kangxi 17th/18th century copper red/peachbloom brush washer. From the fantastic old estate of a life long Chinese art collector comes this beautiful and usually large late 17th to early 18th century Kangxi period copper red monochrome brush washer of a beautiful red color with peachbloom highlights, the brush washer with a large overhanging lip and a multi-layer, multi-depth recessed foot. The brush washer measures approximately 9 3/4 inches (24.8cm) wide and about 2 3/8 inches (6cm) high. The brush washer has two rim hairlines and a rim bruise with short hairlines coming from it. This looks to be the result of an under lip glaze flaw which weakened this area-please check all the pictures of this area. There are no further cracks, chips or repairs and all over general wear including many scratches and glaze wear particularly around the base. Please check all the pictures.
