Great memories for me! "14 Randolph-Payne" which went past my high school (sometimes I transferred from the #4 Snelling bus, Hamline Ave. There wasn't a Hamline Ave. bus (at least not in my day) and since Hamline is only 1/2 mile east of Snelling, the #4 took all the traffic. Nonetheless, I was just relating that rather than waiting to make a second transfer (to the #14) on my trip to school, I often opted to walk the 1/2 mile (the school was located at the corner of Randolph and Hamline) and save time. The Randolph-Payne bus was most likely #14B. #5 bus and took that all the way home, "9C 7th St. GSA Bldg" brought back memories, too. I like the #13 U of M Shuttle (took that from the St. Paul campus to the Main campus nearly every day my freshman year, before transferring to University of St. Thomas for the rest of my college career). You also printed "France-Xerxes". That's it!! That's the route description that was on the #6 buses coming though St. Paul on their way into downtown Minneapolis and beyond. "6C France-Xerxes" on one of the buses. Do you know the x Minnehaha GSA? Not having taken the buses to the GSA Building (by then, I was working at the Air Force Reserve Base and able to drive my own car), I'm not sure what the Minnehaha route was. I just remember seeing the buses lined up in front of the GSA Building and driving along 7th St. during my commutes to and from the office. I'm serious about taking time when I'm back in the Twin Cities in a few weeks to stop at the Minnesota Historical Center and research some of these routes if I can find the information.I NOTE !
