When finished, remove the line from the stipper with a pair of scissors and get back on the water. Many line strippers on the market leave a large ball of line, which can be dangerous to wildlife - even when disposed of in a trash can as most lines do not decompose over time. Numerous short sections of line however that are created when cutting the line from the tool pose very little no threat to whatever wildlife may run into it after it is thrown away.
