"Colder than ice" gel packs are used instead that are guaranteed to remain frozen or partially frozen for at least 72 hrs, along with 1 1/2" thick medicinal grade A coolers. These are coolers that are manufactured specifically for the medical community and pharmacy community for obvious reasons. If "express shipping" is not selected by you for perishable orders at the time you place your order, your order may not arrive frozen but will still arrive either frozen/partially frozen or very cold and will still be extremely safe and may be refrozen upon delivery. Our "no returns or refunds on grocery items" refund/return apply to all perishable orders as well. Shipping charges for perishable orders include all packaging materials, non returnable coolers and "colder than ice" gel packs and specially insulated outer white "perishable" boxes, and all other packaging materials and shipping/handling charges.
