Description: BAUDELAIRE, Charles. Flowers of Evil. Trans. from the French by George Dillon and Edna St. Vincent Millay with the original texts and with a rlprefsce by Miss Millay. London: Hamish Hamilton. n.d., preface dated 1935. 8vo. Black cloth, marbled endpapers. Printed presumably from the American sheets, the paper quality of heavy stock. A poor copy, the front board and spine detached from the binding, the binding itself tight. Board edges and corners rubbed, spine without titles. Ink ownership signature dated 1941 to front endpaper, else clean. A worthy reading copy of an important lyrical text, but no more and in need of repair. Uncommon, though.
