Description: Fluorescent Mineral Collector Piece Featured here is a Chalcedony Flower Nodule from Imilchil, Morocco that fluoresces pale orange. It would make a good addition to your awesome specimen collection. The first photo is LW (the opposite of how we usually set up the photos), the next two are SW, and the last three are daylight. The daylight photos of these Chalcedony flowers look like large"molecule collections" of some sort! The dimensions of this piece are: up to 1-1/8" width by up to 1-1/2" length by up to 7/8" thick. The lot weighs about 1.3 ounces. We are trying to list many of our store items as free shipping to insure that you are getting the cheapest shipping rates possible. Remember, when you buy USA, we do not get government subsidized shipping like the chinese, so unfortunately, our free shipping must cover costs. We use a 36 watt fluorescent UV lamp specifically designed for viewing displayed fluorescent minerals . The lamp was built and designed by "Way Too Cool" of AZ (they have a great website with lots of good info on fluorescent minerals and lamps). Our minerals are photographed dry, and no type of of photo enhancement is employed, as it appears under our lamp is how it photoed and is presented on our listings. We display shortwave photos first, then long wave photos. If the mineral does not fluoresce under one those waves, it will be noted in the listing. These items will not fluoresce as shown with a poster lamp. They will fluoresce as shown if you are using a fluorescent mineral lamp, designed for that purpose. We do our best to represent the true colors of our materials. Please remember there are many factors to consider, such as how your computer monitor displays the photos. Also SW minerals will not fluoresce with most of the UV flashlights. 100% satisfaction is guaranteed however, any unsatisfactory items must be returned within 30 days.
