Description: LONG WAVE UV Nice fluorescent patterns on this Nepheline Syenite "Yooperlite" rock. Fluoresces orange under long wave UV light. A long wave UV light source is needed to see this, and I recommended a Convoy S2 or similar model with the band pass filter, it is what I use. These Syenite rocks can have different grain sizes, mineral mixtures throughout the rock body, or go through a metamorphic change or partial meta change. This is why they each may look different in daylight. Rounded from tumbling around in lake Michigan. Collected in Milwaukee county Wisconsin along the lake Michigan shoreline. 229 grams. 2-3/4" length. NOTE!I use a ConvoyS2 LONG WAVE 365nm UV flashlight with a band pass filter installed for finding these and the photos, you will need one as well to see the fluorescence as nicely as seen in photos.
