The whole piece is about 6.2 inches at its longest measurement, and it weighs 1 lb. 15.55 oz. There are also a number of tiny bivalve fossils. The mother-of-pearl iridescence is from some of the shells, where the original, shiny shells have survived intact all these millions of years. A superb addition to your fossil collection. We have been working with fossils for many years, and we have seen hundreds of very nice-looking COA’s, some that are wrong, mis-describing a specimen. Finally, a COA without a photo of the exact item described, as part of that COA, is worthless, as it can later be placed next to any other fossil.
