Sometimes these Spruce cones are referred to as fossil Pinecones. This Mid Miocene fossil specimen was hand dug and carved out of the matrix and then stabilized for a nice display. This spruce cone fragment piece measures 2 inches long by 0.90 inches wide. This Virgin Valley Spruce cone specimen piece would be an excellent addition to any rock and mineral collection.
