Published in 1979 by Gateway Press, Baltimore, Maryland. This copy was signed by the author on the first endpaper. At time of listing I was unable to find another copy for sale on the internet. Very scarce. “Johann George Weckesser (1799-1848) married Katharina Schmidt. Four of their ten children emigrated from Hatzbach, Germany to the United States. Two settled in Illinois, one in Ohio, and one in Pennsylvania. Descendants in the United States lived throughout most of the country. Includes German ancestry, and some records of German descendants” Red cloth binding with gilt lettering on the cover and spine. Endpapers are a map of Germany. Measures 6 by 9 inches 254 pages, illustrated with vintage black and white photos. Contents: Please view the two photos. Condition: Very good. Gift inscription by the author “Compliments of Miriam Whaley”. Binding is tight. No loose or torn pages. Pages are clean and unmarked. Overall in excellent condition with very slight shelf wear.
