Warranty & Returns RETURNS POLICY In accordance with Australian law, we accept returns within 30 days of the original purchase if you've made a mistake or changed your mind. The cost of returning the item is the responsibility of the buyer. Refunds will be processed once the item is received in its original packaging and in a re-saleable condition. Please note that a restocking fee of 15% of the original invoice may apply if the return is due to a purchasing error or change of mind, and any postage costs incurred will be deducted from the refund amount (including items that were shipped with free postage). WARRANTY POLICY Most products sold by Fred Auto Parts come with a 12-month or 20,000km warranty, whichever comes first. For KINFOR products, the warranty extends to 24 months or 40,000km. Or any longer warranty period that may be printed on your original tax invoice. The warranty period begins from the date of purchase. During the warranty period, we will replace or refund, at our discretion, any new part that fails due to a defect in materials or workmanship under normal use after proper installation. Please contact us at support@fredauto.com.au to make any warranty claims. We will then process the claim with the product manufacturer. Warranty Conditions The warranty will be VOID if the part is NOT fitted by a licensed and qualified mechanic. Proof of fitment may be required when making a warranty claim. Exclusions The warranty does not cover the following: Failure due to accident, collision, misuse, abuse, or modification Environmental damage, including chemical fallout, salt, hail, or natural disasters Marine use or improper installation Installation of an incorrect part Damages caused by other faulty parts Parts under manufacturer's recall Parts used for racing or off-road purposes Normal wear and tear, used, or salvage parts For commercial-use vehicles, parts are warranted for 180 days from the installation date, regardless of any longer warranty period printed on your tax invoice. WARRANTY PROCEDURE To make a warranty claim: The replacement part must be purchased and paid for in full before it can be taken from the shop. The failed part must be returned to Fred Auto Parts, where it will be sent to the manufacturer for inspection. The manufacturer will determine if it should be repaired, replaced, or rejected. If the manufacturer agrees to replace the part and a new replacement has already been purchased, a refund will be issued. If the manufacturer opts to repair the part, it will be returned to you after the repair. If the claim is rejected, the failed part can be returned to you, but no refund will be provided. An original invoice from Fred Auto Parts must be presented when making a warranty claim. This is non-negotiable. Additional Important Information This limited warranty does not cover labor costs or incidental damages, including physical injuries, property damage, or loss of vehicle use. Fred Auto Parts is not responsible for any indirect, special, or consequential damages. This warranty is the sole remedy for any product defect, and no other warranties, express or implied, apply unless otherwise required by local law.
