Description: This is a rare May 27th, 1929 programme (playbill) from the one-week, Pre-London engagement of the G. H. CLUTSAM musical romance "THE DAMASK ROSE" at the Liverpool Empire in Liverpool, England. (The production would open the following month at Golder's Green in London and would tour before opening March 26th, 1930 at London's Savoy Theatre where it would close after a brief run.) ..... The musical starred PERCY HEMING as "Stanislas Poniatowski" and WILMA BERKELEY as "Wanda Volny" and the cast included GEOFFREY LOVATT, WALTER PASSMORE, JOHN KELLY, TEDO MILES, HAYDEN COFFIN, TOM SHELFORD, JUDY SKINNER, AMY AUGARDE, DURWARD LELY, Jr., COLIN GENT, ERIC GRENIER, FRED TONGE, H. CONDITION: With the exception of moderate creasing from having been folded into quarters and minor edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
