Freeze-Dried Vegetable Blend - Malibu

Description: Freeze-Dried Vegetable Blend - Malibu (Broccoli, Cauliflower, Orange & Yellow Carrots) One bulk bag contains the equivalent of 32 ounces of fresh vegetables.  Net weight of 2.5 ounces of freeze-dried vegetables. Each Resealable Mylar bag has an oxygen and moisture absorber to ensure the longest shelf life possible. Directions: To cook freeze-dried vegetables, follow these instructions: 1. Rehydrate the Vegetables: Place the desired amount of freeze-dried vegetables in a bowl or pot. Add enough hot water to cover the vegetables completely. Allow them to soak for about 5 to 10 minutes or until they become soft and rehydrated. Stir occasionally to ensure even rehydration. 2. Drain Excess Water: After the vegetables have rehydrated, drain off any excess water. You can use a strainer or colander to remove the water thoroughly. 3. Cooking Methods: - Boiling: Fill a pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add the rehydrated vegetables and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes or until they are tender. Check the doneness by testing a piece with a fork. Be careful not to overcook, as the vegetables may become mushy. - Sautéing: Heat a skillet or frying pan over medium heat. Add a small amount of oil or butter to the pan. Once the oil is hot, add the rehydrated vegetables and sauté for about 5 to 7 minutes or until they are tender and slightly caramelized. Stir occasionally to ensure even cooking. - Steaming: Fill a pot with a small amount of water and bring it to a boil. Place a steamer basket or a colander on top of the pot, making sure it doesn't touch the water. Add the rehydrated vegetables to the steamer basket or colander, cover with a lid, and steam for about 3 to 5 minutes or until they are tender. Check the doneness by testing a piece with a fork. 4. Seasoning: Season the cooked vegetables with salt, pepper, and any other desired herbs or spices to enhance their flavor. You can customize the seasoning based on your preferences and the dish you are preparing. 5. Serving: Once cooked and seasoned, serve the freeze-dried vegetables as a side dish, incorporate them into stir-fries, soups, stews, or casseroles, or use them in other recipes as needed. Note: Cooking times may vary depending on the specific type of freeze-dried vegetables. Adjust the cooking time accordingly to ensure the vegetables are cooked to the desired tenderness. Enjoy your cooked vegetables made from rehydrated freeze-dried vegetables! Handling and Storage: When handling and storing freeze-dried foods, it's important to follow these instructions to maintain their quality and ensure food safety: 1. Read Packaging Instructions: Carefully read and follow any specific instructions provided on the packaging of the freeze-dried food products. Handle uncooked freeze-dried foods the same as fresh raw foods. 2. Properly Seal and Store: After opening the packaging, make sure to reseal it tightly to prevent air and moisture from entering. Properly sealed packaging helps maintain the quality and shelf life of freeze-dried foods. If the original packaging is not resealable, transfer the contents to airtight containers or resealable bags. 3. Store in a Cool, Dry Place: Store freeze-dried foods in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight, humidity, and heat sources. Exposure to these elements can compromise the quality, texture, and taste of the food. Aim for a storage temperature between 50°F (10°C) and 70°F (21°C). 4. Protect from Moisture: Moisture is the enemy of freeze-dried foods as it can lead to spoilage. Keep the packaging or containers away from areas with high humidity or sources of moisture, such as sinks or steamy environments. 5. Prevent Cross-Contamination: Use clean utensils or washed hands when handling freeze-dried foods to avoid cross-contamination with other ingredients or surfaces. This helps maintain the quality and safety of the freeze-dried products. 6. Check for Signs of Spoilage: Before consuming or using freeze-dried foods, inspect them for any signs of spoilage. Discard the product if you notice off-odors, unusual colors, or mold growth. If the packaging is damaged or compromised, it's best to err on the side of caution and not consume the product. 7. Rotate and Use Before Expiration: Freeze-dried foods have a long shelf life, but it's advisable to consume them before the expiration date mentioned on the packaging for the best quality. Practice proper first-in, first-out (FIFO) rotation to ensure older products are used before newer ones. By following these handling and storage instructions, you can maintain the quality, flavor, and nutritional value of your freeze-dried foods for an extended period, ensuring a satisfying culinary experience. 100% Free Shipping100% Free Returns100% Satisfaction GuaranteedIf you are not completely satisfied, return it to recieve a Full Refund.StoreFeedbackContact UsAdd to FavoritesSign up to NewsletterFreeze-Dried Bulk BucketsFreeze-Dried MeatsFreeze-Dried Fish & SeafoodFreeze-Dried Cheese & DairyFreeze-Dried VegetablesFreeze-Dried FruitsFreeze-Dried Pre-Cooked FoodsFreeze-Dried CandyFreeze-Dried Vegetable Blend - Malibu Freeze-Dried Vegetable Blend - Malibu (Broccoli, Cauliflower, Orange & Yellow Carrots) One bulk bag contains the equivalent of 32 ounces of fresh vegetables.  Net weight of 2.5 ounces of freeze-dried vegetables.
