Weighs approximately 3 grams. The cross 18K gold frame is approximately 1.9 cm in height and width, and approximately 1mm in thickness. The pendant is approximately 2.2 cm (13.5/16 of an inch) in height including attachment bulge but excluding bale, and approximately 3 cm (1 3/16 inches) in total height including bale fully extended. This 18K medal reads 1870 SOCIÉTÉ FRANÇAISE DE SECOURS 1871.
