Description: Future Seeing by Edmund Shaftesbury, pseudonym of Albert Webster Edgerly (1852-1926) with gold lettering and burgundy hardcovers. The binding is tight, no markings found, but the covers and "blank pages" have had some separation--readily fixable, it seems, but I have reduced the price considerably due to the repair needed. This is a "must read"--quite interesting. This 535 page book the author has presented as "a practical training course for use in business, professional and social life". The content is unique and this presentation of nearly 100 years since publication is overwhelming. Thought provoking. Affordably priced. There are many "incredible" associated aspects: Ralstonism was a social movement founded by Webster Edgerly that promoted his pseudoscientific ideas of personal and racial hygiene. It began as the Ralston Health Club, which published Edgerly's writings. It was a hierarchical organization where members were ranked according to the number of "degrees" they had, which ranged from 0 to 100. Members gained in the hierarchy by purchasing and studying Ralston's books, each of which taught five degrees. Edgerly at first published his ideas under the pseudonym Everett Ralston, but later used his own name and explained "Ralston" as an acronym for "Regime, Activity, Light, Strength, Temperation, Oxygen, Nature"Edgerly saw his followers as the founding members of a new race, based on Caucasians, and free from "impurities". He advocated the castration of all "anti-racial" (non-Caucasian) males at birth.
