Here we have a beautiful antique porcelain oval PLATTER made by F.WINKLE of England in the "Surrey" pattern - displaying brown trailing sprays of dog roses and leaves and flowers on a white background. The bottom is marked, "F.WINKLE & CO. ~ FENTON.FAIENCE ~ STAFF ~ ENGLAND ~ SURREY ~ Rd No 181003." (Also attached is a sticker faintly written, "Emma,Mom's aunt?")It measures approx. 13-1/2" long x 10" wide x 1-1/4" side high. It is in great maintained (lightly used) condition commensurate with its age with no chips or cracks or crazing...appearing to have had little use. It is being offered in "as found" condition currently showing some minor surface rub/scuff marks here and there...all of which are not offensive. Came from a well cared for private home collection of many years, displayed, however the exact age is unknown, pattern discontinued, production run believed to be from 1891-1900's? This item weighs approx. 2-1/4 lbs., add 2-3/4 lbs. or so for the packing box and packing material. I combine shipping when safe and practical for all items purchased. Payment and shipping...
