I have a very large collection of books spanning many topics. A massive gathering of Philip K Dick titles and editions, as well as fine press, signed limited editions, modern firsts, radical movement and conceptual art items. I encourage you to browse my store and categories for a wide range of unique, quality offerings. Condition: SEE IMAGES. This vintage pulp is in solid GOOD++ to VERY GOOD condition. There is light toning to page edges, but no brittleness, and pages are easily and comfortably flippable. Well over 40 years old, this issue is not pristine or flawless. Minor edge wear. Postal address label still present on rear panel. Binding tight and boxed. The covers have soft corners/tips, and minor scuffing/fading to the spine, but still overall a nice, bright presentable copy. Preserved in an acid-free archival bag. Please feel free to ask any questions or request additional pictures. Fun Fact 1: Roger Zelazny won both the Nebula and Hugo Awards multiple times, as well as others. He is the creator of The Chronicles of Amber. As well, he was a poet and also a member of at least a couple science fiction groups. ADDITIONALLY, the Harrison Denmark is an acknowledged pseudonym for Roger Zelazny. Fun Fact 2: Jerry Pournelle was part of a Council with other authors, astronauts and notables who were influential in the space policy of Ronald Reagan and the SDI program. This council was called Citizens’ Advisory Council on National Space Policy. Fun Fact 3: This issue prints the first published story by James Kelly, who has gone on to a prolific award winning career. FitzpatrickSteven UtleyFrederik PohlJerry PournelleDick Geis Galaxy Science Fiction was a magazine digest that ran from 1950 until 1980. In the final year, only 1 issue was published. It was revived again for a brief 8 issues in 1994-95. Galaxy was a French-Italian publishers attempt at getting a foothold in the American market. Originally, it focused largely on stories around social issues as opposed to technology. Galaxy, nearly from inception and under the editorship of Horace Gold followed by Frederik Pohl, became one of the leading science fiction magazines, greatly influencing and expanding the genre. It boasted Horace Gold, Frederik Pohl, Willy Ley, Theodore Sturgeon, Lester del Rey, Judy Lynn and others on the editorial and department leadership. It was only with the 1969 resignation of Frederik Pohl from editorship that prominence began to wane until it was ultimately cancelled in 1980. Publishing the works of visionary greats such as Ray Bradbury, Harlan Ellison, Robert Silverberg, Jack Vance, Frank Herbert, Robert Henlein, Ursula K. Le Guin, Willy Ley, Larry Niven and many other greats, Galaxy greatly influenced the field of science fiction. I will happily answer any further questions. Making offers: I certainly can appreciate wanting a better deal, and I've made offers myself on my own purchases. To be up front, if and when you make an offer, I will automatically reject crazy low "give it away" offers. Best not to waste our time. With a more reasonable offer, I will review current pricing for other comparable items out there and either accept, counter or decline submitted offer. If in that review, I find my pricing is already LOW and outdated, I may then increase the price to bring more in line with other offerings. I spend a lot of time sourcing the best offerings, preparing the listings with images and clear descriptions, and price fairly in MOST cases. I remain grateful to all who consider my offerings, and I look forward to serving your needs respectfully and with success. Shipping: International buyers -- I utilize the eBay INTERNATIONAL Shipping Program, having found it quite stable. US buyers -- I utilize USPS, shipping by your chosen service. If you desire a different shipping method, please contact first. I've packed books securely for 3 decades and will take great care with your order. Economy shipping will be via media or ground advantage depending on final weight and item. Securely protected. Priority mail will ship in a medium flat rate envelope or different box depending on your selection, securely protected.ANY overage on the highest priority shipping charge (boxed) will be credited after shipping. Insurance will be an additional charge if desired. Typically, I will ship within 72hrs of payment, striving for closer to 48hrs. Will gladly ship faster if we connect in advance so I can make arrangements. Will combine multiple orders to save on shipping. eBay may assess sales tax based on the state requirements for where you reside. This is not something in my control, nor do I handle that in any way. Thank you for considering this offering! :-))
