Replace your garage door bottom seal Step 1 Remove the old garage door seal Lift the garage door to about 6 ft. high and pull the old garage door bottom seal out through the gap behind the door track. Step 2 Clean the track Scrape dirt and corrosion out of the garage door bottom seal track with a screwdriver and a stiff brush. Step 3 Straighten the track Pry open the slots that serve as a track for the bottom rubber gasket on either end of the garage door, using a screwdriver.
