This top was produced from accurate measurements captured from an original top from a late-production 8800/early-production 8800A and includes cutouts for fan mounting screws. Tops are finished in a color- and texture-matched powdercoat, which is more durable than standard chassis paint. Our replacement tops are an exact fit for all Altair 8800 series computers, including: Original "Rev 0" Altair 8800Altair 8800AAltair 8800BAltair 8800B Turnkey Since these tops include cutouts for fan mounting screws, they allow original Altair 8800s without fans to be upgraded with fans without having to cut the original top (if available) or countersink the screws into the original backplate. The listing pictures include an image of one of the reproduction tops installed on an Altair 8800B, which is of course not included. These replacement tops are made in the USA!
