Description: Vintage English Royal Doulton Columbine HN 2185 c1956 Bone China Figurine Produced between 1956-69, now retired. Good to fair condition. I didn't notice it but when I enlarged the photos I noticed a slight repair at the crown. Not noticeable to the naked eye. It is a good repair and doesn't take away from the beauty of the piece. (see photos) Designed by Peggy Davies, marked with the Royal Doulton Lion & Crown Mark & England. Hand Made at the Royal Doulton Art Pottery Studio's in England. Created as a pair to Harlequin HN2185, Columbine joyfully plays the tambourine in her adorable pink dress. Designed to capture the spirit and flavor of the 1920s, these limited edition models are lively representatives of this dynamic and colorful era. A tradition of craftsmanship still lives on in the Royal Doulton studios in which these figures are created. The artists and sculptors, potters and decorators, employ many of the same tried and tested techniques as their predecessors and use only the highest quality materials such as fine bone china, natural pigments and deep luster glazes.
