On the night before ( 6/22/88 ) the Very-1st ! ' I Will Take You Home ' was delivered by Brent ! Wow, and what a kind Lullaby that one is ... one of Mydland's very-finest to say the least ... played Live 1st ! at Alpine - a little over a year before " Built To Last " was recorded, issued ... and hit the retail shelves for the Dead Fan Faithful !!! And, on 6/20/88 at Alpine - Brent delivered the 1st ! ' Blow Away ' ... while on 6/19/88 ( yep, at Alpine ! ) - Garcia delivered the very-first ' Foolish Heart ' !!! How cool, for certain. This '88 Summer Tour actually opened up at the Met Center on 6/17/88 - where the 1st ! ' Victim Or The Crime ' was played ... and delivered by Weir ! So, point being ... right after the 6/17/88 Minneapolis Show -- the Dead played a Hearty ! 4-Night stand at Alpine Valley ! ... which, as you can see - stood as a real testing-ground run for many of the Tunes that would comprise " Built To Last " - the Last & Final Studio Album by the Grateful Dead ... released on 10/31/1989 !!! And ... this Beauty ! of a G.D. Pass here - was issued for the 6/23/88 Show - which was indeed the 4th & Final-Show of this Glorious ! 1988 Summer Tour Alpine run !!!!
