'90's Era Pass is one of the ' Blank ' ( No Date ! ) GDP surplus passes that was used when needed - usually, marked / stamped with a date or code, etc. handwritten ( usually ) in marker on the front side of the Pass ... right onto the satin. And, as you can well see from the photos provided - this one is not ' written ' on, has the backing in-tact, and is in Excellent Condition !! Jerry " Sketches " were used for a few different Backstage Pass designs in the Late 1980's & Early / Mid 1990's Era ... where Jerry drawings were used on the Passes ! Sometimes of Himself - Deadheads - Movie Characters - and even too ... Band Members !! of The Grateful Dead !!! And, in this Fine-Case ... of G.D. Drummer " Mickey Hart !!! " - Smoking A Pipe !! You may have also seen the Jerry Garcia Backstage Pass Art issued ... perhaps " Self-Portrait " - the " Billy Kreutzmann " - the " Bob Weir " ... and this one is Jerry's " Vision " of Good Ol' Mickey !!! A crazy-cool Jerry Art / G.D. Pass issued in 1990 by GDP ! Spectacular color-contrasts on this one ... and definitely perfect for framing, indeed. Gotta love this one ... nice work Garcia ! So-very well done. So ... if you are on the hunt for a cool Jerry Garcia " Artwork " collectible, but would prefer to not shell out the $1,000(s) - then this one just might very-nicely fit the bill ! And the cool thing too as stated, is that this Pass is not written on ( not " Tour-Marked " with a stamp and/or ink marker ! ) - and is in Excellent ! condition. And another thing to consider - because this Pass does not have a " printed " date & venue on it either - there is just more space for the artwork / sketch itself -- or, the " Jerry Art Doodle ", if I may. This Pass is approximately 2 1/2" x 3 11/16" and would definitely matte & frame very nicely -- so after all of that, then all you have to take care of is finding out where you would like to display it !!
