Absolutely-amazing, and just like you might hope for - as far as a Close Encounters experience of Truckin' with the Band for Egypt '78 ... as Bob Nichols was indeed an Employee of The Grateful Dead ! Grate ! friends with the Band, Road Crew, Extended G.D. Family & such ... and also - he was considered to some degree to be the unofficial " Astrologer " for The Grateful Dead !! One of the popular ' Dead Books ' even talks about this too - can't remember if it was Phil's, Billy's, or maybe even McNally's ? But, I remember reading that section years & years after finding out about this '84 Egypt Book Masterpiece ! In addition to all-kinds of G.D. Fan info that you will absolutely-love ... there are also some Awesome ! photos inside, and hey - I mean where else are you going to be able to read about a collective G.D. Band / Crew attempt to " Wire the King's Chamber " ??! And then ... just around there - you have a picture of a Crew Member with an " Oregon Dead " '72 Veneta Shirt hanging a ' Steal Your Face ! ' Flag ! on the Egyptian Cheop's Pyramid !! Wow ... right ? Well, at least to me - I've always thought this was one of the Best ! Dead Books from the last say - 30 + years ... in that it is totally informational, but yet - so incredibly real ! So sadly, Robert Nichols passed in April of 1997 at age 58 true to his astrology beliefs ... leaving a note behind that read " I am going on the Spaceship with Hale-Bopp to be with those who have gone before me ". ( New York Times 4/2/1997 ). A terribly sad tragedy indeed, but thankfully ... such a wealth of incredible information left behind. From my understanding ... the Grateful Dead took his wealth of astrological knowledge & advice very seriously, and this Book is really the best look into the mindset of Robert Nichols, just around 5-years, or even less " Post-Egypt '78 " when this book was originally released in 1984.
