It is signed lower righ twith his full signature. This large wall ceramic panel, consists of a total of fifteen smaller tiles, framed and it is ready for hanging. The subject of this fantastic composition is the Greek National Feast "March 25, 1821", (title right, in the middle, in Greek), who is the day of beginning of Greek Revolution against the Ottoman Empire. The celebration of the Greek Revolution of 1821 is celebrated in Greece, Cyprus, United States and all over the world by the Greek immigration on March 25 every year, with great splendor. Depicts with wonderful combination of colors of enamels and symbolic way, two glorious and famous soldiers of Greek army, that are named "evzones", the one horseback, with the characteristic military their uniform and with their swords, which a woman admires from her window, between a big bell and a Greek flag (the first Greek flag:1822-1978). The compotision surrounded by colors that symbolize fire and blood. Angelos Tsakirakis (1934-2006) was important Greek artist, ceramicist and painter. Studied in Doxiadis School and served the ceramic art, modestly, with love and dedication over forty years. He has created, handmade and hand painting ceramics masterpieces, classical and modern, which they liked a lot in the art lovers. Draws his themes from various sources, mythology, history, legends, and generally from the Greek tradition and culture. Today the authentic ceramics Tsakirakis, are highly collectible, especially for those who know and appreciate the ceramic art.
