Description: A superb newer stock stone cut for me a few years back by Nicolas Rollin who cuts these stones for his 1stone store and is the current stock operator. These are between 10000+ grit rating and very smooth to use. What Nicholas has to say on using the stone is as follows: The Green shadow, due to its hardness, requires us to use a different type of polishing with a finish on a diamond disc in resin and oil, so it is normal upon receipt to have difficulty removing mud (to do this, clean the stone several times) because the oil will block the water and the friction of the tip on the stone.The Green Shadow is not intended to make a lot of mud used with its own tip but it is a fine mud, to get more mud we recommend using a #120 grit sandpaper (or diamond plate) to “break” the very polished surface.It measures 198x59x18mm @ 632g which is a little thicker than average for these cuts. Given its wear rate, this should easily last a lifetime and more. If you have any questions please let me know.
