Description: Griswold #8 cast iron deep skillet with matching cover in the harder to find hammered finish. Excellent restored condition. Manufactured circa 1940s. No cracks. Sits dead flat on a glass surface with no wobble or spinning. The bottom surface is excellent with a crisp, clear logo. The cooking surface is nice and smooth with typical marks from age and use. The skillet measures 11 inches wide at the spouts and 3 inches tall. The cooking surface measures 8 1/2 inches across. The cover is also in excellent condition with no cracks. When I'm not working my full-time job as a RN at the local hospital, I am at home in my shop restoring, cleaning and seasoning cast iron. For me this is a labor of love. It is very rare that a vintage cast iron skillet will have absolutely no movement on a glass surface. Most were not perfect coming out of the foundry.
