The Grit "Story Section" was originally issued weekly as part of the Grit newspaper. Fiction stories by Margaret Craven, Ernest Haycox, Martina G. Owen, Barbara Webb, Esther Morris Douty, Ruth U. Tuthill, and comic strips Bringing Up Father by George McManus and The Bungle Family by H. J. Tuthill (one page each), plus a page of poems. 8 1/2-in. x 11 1/2-in., 32 pages, black and white text with illustrations.
