Utilising the splines and threaded XD freehub body our XD 1-ER kit is simple to fit and provides a 49 or 51mm chain line depending on the orientation of the suppled 3mm spacer. Going single speed on a modern SRAM equipped bike has never been so easy. Sprocket teeth are designed for a narrow 3/32" 9-speed chain, although wider, 1/8" single speed chains can also be successfully used. Fitting a new chain is recommended, as a pre-used chain will likely be worn and may not mesh well with the fresh, unworn sprocket.
