Album Notes Gustavo Romanov Salvini was born in Prauss in Prussian Poland on March 25, 1825. He traveled to Italy in late 1846, where he improved technically as a singer and where he first entered the opera as a tenor in Reggio Parma in 1849. An artistic career in Italian and French theaters, and came to Portugal in 1859 to work at the Real Theater of St. John in Porto. However, an incident during the opera "The Puritans" of Bellini made him lose suddenly and voice. From here he dedicated himself to the singing teaching in the city of Oporto, where he established a school of Singing with a lot of reputation.
