Description: This machine only has a few hundred hours on it and is extremely clean, like-new condition. Please see the images for a copy of the original build specs and also a 2023 comparable quote for the most similar machine if bought new. I'm a one-man shop. I'm the only person that has ever run this machine. If you have any questions, you're asking the guy who would know the answer. For the history of this machine, please read: I bought two new VF4SS's in 2003 when they first came out. I was probably one of the first Haas customers to buy Super Speed technology. At the time I was providing contract services for early product development/prototyping specializing in plastics and aluminum. By 2015 I was transitioning away from contract services towards my own products. I sold the two VF4SS's and bought this brand new VF2SS in 2015. I've used this VF2SS very little since I don't do any of the production work for my own products in-house. I subcontract everything out. But I do use it for prototyping and design-finalization. So it was purchased new and used sparingly by an owner-operator, and that's why it is very low hours and extremely clean condition. I only cut plastics, aluminum, and wood. And I never cut any G10 or other glass-filled plastics (which is very hard on the ball-screws). No dings in the table. Notice the Spindle Warmup program? I always run the spindle warmup program before using the machine. About the only negative you'll see is the way covers have oxidation due to my water-based coolant. If it bothers you, you could rub them with a Scotchbrite pad to clean them up. USB for file transfer. Glass windows on the front doors. Original manuals and brochures included. 230v, 3-phase I paid cash in-full when I bought it, so there were never any loans or UCC release to worry about. What I really need now is something to do larger flat-work. For the past 5 years I've been looking for a used Haas SR-100. Haas didn't make many of those and they discontinued them because it was priced too low for router capability...then they came out with the GR-series at twice the size and twice the price. So a couple weeks ago I finally found an SR-100 to buy and that's the only reason I am selling this VF2SS. Respectfully, I'm not sure what your financial situation is, but I don't consider this sold just with a click of the buttons on eBay. "Sold" to me means a bank wire transfer of funds into my account. That being said, if you look at the last 2 photos closely you should see how to ask any questions if you are a serious buyer. If you actually click the "Buy It Now" button, funds need to be received in my account within 2 business days or I will cancel the transaction and re-list it. That means having your loan secured, and the bank ready and waiting to send the funds tomorrow so I have them the next day. Item is FOB Appleton, Wisconsin 54915. The machine is under power right now and I invite you to personally come look at it. Appleton is serviced by most airlines. If driving, I am exactly 3 hours north of Chicago or 4 hours 30 minutes east of Minneapolis. If the sale and move-out happens within 30 days, I am happy to split the rigging cost 50/50 with the buyer based on my SR-100 coming in. My incoming SR-100 has CAT 30 tooling, so I no longer need the CAT 40 tool holders that I currently use with the VF2SS. So if the buyer is interested in purchasing additional items that can ship in the chip-pan of the machine, here what I would have: 14 CAT 40 ER32 polished and G2.5 balanced for 12,000 RPM tool holders ($20/ea)21 CAT 40 Lyndex TG100 tool holders ($40/ea)3 Kurt D688 vises (all purchased new, 2 of them are used $400/ea, 1 is still new in box $500).Buy it all and I'll include a few additional tool holders that I didn't list. If you plan on cutting plastics or also aluminum, I have 1 full and 1 almost-full bucket of Cimtech Cimcool 310 coolant. It's a water-based coolant that is outstanding for plastics, but at $450 per 5-gallon bucket, a crack cocaine habit would be cheaper. But I love this coolant and wouldn't use anything else. I believe this product was originally developed by Cincinnati Milicron under contract for the U.S. military, so you can imagine the specs that went into it. $500 buys both buckets and you can give it a try. Thanks to everyone for looking!
