This dress was worn by Ginger Knowles (Halle Berry) during the beginning of the movie when Stanley Jobson (Hue Jackman) first meets Knowles’ boss Gabriel Shear (John Travolta). The film centers around Jobson, an ex-con and computer hacker who is targeted for recruitment into a bank robbery conspiracy because of his formidable hacking skills. The dress is photo-matched to several scenes in the movie. This dress was also worn by Halle in the promotional photo for the movie. This dress was obtained directly from Halle in 2001. Halle signed a 8.5″X12″ photo and inscribed it the following: Ron – Enjoy the dress and thank you! Love Halle 2001. Halle also added for fun, “me looking at me” in reference to an image of Halle in the photo looking at another image of Halle. The photo will accompany a letter of authenticity from me detailing the provenance. A Warner Brothers promotional movie packet with six 8″X10″ black and white photos of Berry, Jackman, Travolta, Don Cheadle and Sam Shepard along with a twenty-four page movie description will accompany this great piece.
