Please read the SAFETY NOTES below. For Sale – 1950’s era Hallicrafters SX-71 Radio. This radio is being sold in as-is condition. This radio was part of collection of antique radio’s. It contains most of its original parts, including vacuum tubes. There are manuals for most of the radio’s in the collection. SAFETY NOTE: This radio is being sold in as-is condition. It has not been operated in at least 20 years so it is not safe to power up until it has been thoroughly checked out and refurbished. At a minimum the power capacitors should be replaced. The vacuum tubes may no longer work. For your safety the power cord has been cut to prevent one from accidentally trying to use this radio. I am willing to ship this radio. However due to the weight of Hallicrafter radios the shipping costs could be over $100. If you live in the St. Louis MO metropolitan area I am willing to deliver the radio to a location convenient to you. Prepayment is required on all radio’s to be shipped or driven to you.
