March 2022Marine boat antenna for boaters on the VHF 2-meter Amateur Radio (Ham) 144-148MHz radio band. Designed in our lab. It is hand made here in Miami FL using local labor. Each one is tested on our production analyzer before final assembly. Tuned to the middle of the band at 146.4MHZ and great SWR below 1.7:1 even at the band edges, with almost 1:1 in the middle resonant point. We have been making the hot seller 8FT marine band version for years here, sold to distributors and resellers. This antenna has a beautiful smooth gloss white radome (housing tube) and is tapered. Starts at 1" diam at bottom and tapers to 3/8" or so at the tip. The polished stainless steel base Fits any normal 1"-14 marine base common all over the US. Each antenna is tested on an RF network analyzer prior to packing. This ensures a defect free antenna for you. With shipping so expensive we do not accept returns. The cable is a black USA produced RG-58A/U, very durable in the intense UV rays of the sun. The cable is approx. 16 feet long cut off. UHF-PL259 connector included. No need to solder on your connector. This antenna has our Pro-Series cable with a small FME connector on the end, plus the PL-259 adapter. All brass elements these are typical 6dB designs, designed for the ham radio 2m band. A marine base is not included and does not fit into the shipping tube. Ratchet Mount is in our store, order it separate. White or Black Nylon made in USA or imported chromed zinc mount. The pictures show the base, cable and tip. Comes packed in an 8 FT long stiff carton 2-3/8" shipping tube, not shown. NOTE! Long 96" items on Fedex and UPS always cost $29-43 to ship! But, get 2 or 3 for the same shipping cost! (plus maybe $2 or so) Compare/choose Fedex or UPS, each has better prices depending on day/distance/location. CANADA: These are too long for postal mail. Shipping only UPS standard.
