Description: The thing that sets our bowls apart is the FINISH. It's not a "dull wood" finish. We have a special aging wax finish that we apply to all of our bowls. It takes an already distressed bowl and makes it look OLD and WARM and very primitive. And it STAYS that way for the life of the bowl. It is smooth to the touch and it is a beautifully carved bowl. This style is sort of a cross between our large skinny french bread trenchers and our large full-sized dough bowl trenchers. PLUS....THIS one has divided bowls built into it so that you can display different things in each one if you like. PERFECT centerpiece accent for a Harvest Table! BECAUSE of the distressing and waxing process these are NOT suitable for storing raw foods OR wet products in., but PERFECT for displaying foods like oranges, apples, bananas, candy, nuts, etc. I've included (see the last picture) a sample picture as an example of what these trenchers look like with various candies, etc inside. Measures OVER THREE FEET LONG at 39 1/8" inches. It is 5 7/8" wide and it stands approx. 2" tall. It weighs FOUR Pounds. This piece has been HAND HEWN (carved out of ONE SOLID Piece of wood). And BECAUSE it is carved from real wood, expect splits, rasp marks and similar irregularities. We simply oil, wax, and buff them in to blend with the surrounding patina. The piece you SEE in the first 7 pictures is the EXACT one you will receive (the last picture is a sample picture to show you what these bowls look like with something in them).
