Description: Handcraft Tile, San Jose/Milpitas, CA 1926 - present Handsome vintage fireplace surround created with genuine Handcraft tiles. The field tiles have glazing in muted matte colors that blend well together. Notice the quarter-round tiles around the opening of the fire box for a smooth, finished look. We inserted a few decorative tiles and the 3x6" borders to breakup the field tiles. Of course, this design can be changed, depending on size needed. The field tiles used measure 6x6, 4x8, 5x5, and 4x4. As shown, the measurements are 50" wide across the top; 50" tall on either side, and fire box is 29x29. Tiles are in great condition; some have been salvaged, others were never set. Photos 5-8 show the hearth, which measures 50" wide x 24" deep. Photo 9 is from our reference book, showing one of the floral tiles we included in this surround. If interested, contact us and we can create something to your specifications.
