Description: Handcrafted Aztec Mayan Calendar Motorcycle bell - Collectible Bell custom made from two 1oz fine copper rounds. Made in Texas, USA. Includes free gift box. History The Aztec Calendar art on this bell is designed in honor of the Aztec Calendar stone. The stone itself was carved in 1479 from solidified lava and weighed 25 tons. It was buried under the central square of Mexico City until it was found in 1790 during construction. The Obverse is an absolutely gorgeous rendition of the famed Aztec Calendar stone. The stone features the face of the Aztec sun deity: Tonatuih. The face is surrounded by three distinct rings that contain images of the Aztecan history. The Reverse features the left portrait of Cuauhtemoc, the last Aztec Emperor. Cuauhtemoc was executed by Spanish conquistadors in 1525, and to this day, his face still appears all over Mexican pop culture. His portrait is surrounded by an Aztec border as well as “ONE TROY OUNCE” and “.999 FINE COPPER” I make these coin bells by forming one of the 2 coins into a rounded dome for the top of the bell. I punch a small hole in the center of the other coin and form it to make the skirt of the bell. The top and the skirt of the bell are then soldered together. The punched out piece is utilized as the clapper for the bell. The bell gets a patina finish and then polished to a beautiful shine. Lastly, all of the connecting parts are assembled on the bell and secured tightly together so that they will not unscrew due to the vibration of the motorcycle.
